An evening get-together is planned on Saturday 24 July 2010 to allow delegates, guests and local church members from Württemberg to meet and become acquainted.

A renowned TV chef will prepare and sell a dish from the LWF cookbook Food for Life on Schiller Platz, one of Stuttgart’s oldest and most beautiful squares. The proceeds will go to a project of one of the Department for World Service country programs.

Congregations of the Württemberg church will prepare Swabian specialties such as German sweet braided rolls (“Flachswickel”), “Salzkuchen” (a kind of square pizza with onions and bacon), onion pie (“Zwiebelkuchen”) and other baked delights.

A brass choir will grace the summer atmosphere with Württembergian music, affording all guests from far and near a moment of relaxation and entertainment.
