The venue for the Pre-Assembly Consultation in the Latin America and the Caribbean region has been changed from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Bogotá, Colombia.

Latin America and the Caribbean Area Secretary Rev. Martin Junge explained that a high inflation rate in Argentina prompted the decision, which will cut costs by nearly 30 percent. “The LWF is grateful for the strong sense of stewardship of churches in the region, particularly in Argentina,” he stated.

The date of the Pre-Assembly, 12-16 April 2010, remains unchanged.
