Assembly Bible Studies
The Bible study on each of the six weekdays of the Assembly will have a distinctive focus. Each theme arises from one of the five key words of the Fourth Petition of the Lord’s Prayer in the Gospel according to Matthew (give – us – today – daily – bread) and a recurring theme from the Gospel of John (Bread of Life). The Bible studies will explore each day’s theme by examining one or more relevant biblical passages.
- Given By Grace - Bible Study One
- To All - Bible Study Two
- Today - Bible Study Three
- Having Enough - Bible Study Four
- Bread - Bible Study Five
- Bread of Life - Bible Study Six

Other Reflections
The Joseph Stories
Selections from the Joseph stories in Genesis connect our Christian faith with food security, although interpreting them can be a challenge.
Breaking Chains of Injustice
For Christians, access to adequate, safe and nutritious food has always been one of the foundations of a just, peaceful and sustainable world.
Questions Worth Pondering
As men and women we are made in God’s image, redeemed by Christ and called to live in communion with God and each other. In today’s world, how do we Lutherans witness to God, the giver of all good gifts?
